The Dead Sea also serves as a holy site, a major economic gain, and a health benefit.In the past 60 years the Dead Sea has dropped 40m in depth. The rate is still increasing, and is now 1m/year, which while it may not seem like a lot, 1m of depth is over seven billion liters of water.
